CURRENT SEASON IS WINTER A thin, even layer of gray covers the sky, giving us a beautiful winter scene. Snow has begun to fall, by mid-season we will have about 6 inches of snow. The leaves have all died, leaving all but the oaks eerie skeletons. The edges of the rivers and ditches are iced over and the prey have gone into hiding for the season. There is very few prey around now that the snow is beginning to fall.

The Bone Yard Imagine yourself in a library where books spiral along walls, many of which are covered in a deep brown dust. Our archive is located here, and our librarys policy is to "Never throw out a book", therefore ALL threads, no matter how small or dead, will wind up here once they've collected enough dust. Our favorite Proboard Mascot, Scruffy, will do this atleast once a month.
Step One (3 sub-boards) To start you must post a character sheet, completed and original. Please only use artwork with permission and credits to the original artist and use only as reference. Once you are accepted, you will be given the chance to play your character. All characters must start out as NORMAL canines. If you are having trouble accessing this board, please re-read the rules. You weren't paying much attention.

The Den Birthing is an important key to any form of life. When you conceive, you are required to post in this thread complete with conception date and due date. Either parents or adoptees may create the looks, personalities, and names of the offspring. It is whatever the 'mother-to-be' wants. Canines on our forum may have no more than 6 pups to a litter.

When we are old and withered When we are old and withered, sick or injured, we run more of a risk to come upon death. Deaths In character only happen when your canine has reached their age limit, or has been injured dearly in battle. Much of the time death only comes at your consent. HOWEVER inactivity will be the leading cause in character death on the proboards. If you fail to post at an activity check your account will be deleted and your characters brought here. You may recreate your account and reclaim your characters only if you can prove yourself.

Doggie Do's Setting up your relationships, or just logging your characters feelings and daily rituals. This will be monitored by a trusty staff member, so nothing that conflicts with our rules. If it conflicts with my rules it will be deleted.

DIXMONT SCIENTIFIC LABRATORY
FREEDOM. A long hallway stretches to the end, where the scientists come from each day. This is your exit, this is your escape. The doorway out is met by a small office-like setting, where a pretty little secretary sits and answers phones. Don't worry though, if you can be quiet, it won't be hard to run out.

Syringe Closet This room is lined with glass vials and beakers on shelves above eye level. And on the ground are a couple of tables and some exercising equipment. This is where the Dixmont Labs bring already mutated (3 or more mutations) animals to test their physical endurance and prep them for more experimentation.
Surgery Table Hell is located at the end of the building in tiny little rooms hidden from view. Sad howls and cries echoe down the hallways to the kennels, where dangerous experiments are created, and horrible creatures as well.
Sad Corners These kennels are lined with sad strays, locked inside of a cold, concrete prison. No light ever filters in, only artificial sun blazes from the pure white ceilings. Food is given through tiny slots in barred doors. And the humans do not love or pet these intelligent souls.

RURAL
Mester Woods Mester Woods is the infamous location of the Dixmont Lab's. No one knows exactly where it is, but they understand that Mester woods completely envelopes it, while stretching out to cover most of the eastern rural area.

Flores Buyou Flores borders the southern edges of Mester Woods, and the northern edges of the Farms. The buyou is littered with heavy based oak trees and pecan trees. A few shrubs, like Mulberrys grow closer to the water source, while thorns and poison ivy take over the ground. The water of the buyou is brown and murky, like mudd. Be careful of alligators.

The Farms Along the county roads are scattered homes (many, many miles inbetween) and a helluva lot of pastures. Cows and horses thrive here, and it is a good home for many stray dogs (mutated or not), for the wild game is plentiful.

Same Pines Trailor Park Still considered the rural, but closer in to town (about 5 miles), there lies a trailor park. Mostly a cat paradise, but still a wonderful place for strays, where scraps are thrown from the window rather than thrown into the dumpster.

HOLY GROUNDS
Gala Dog Park When you come into this area you are blessed with sunlight, shade, playful friends and comrads, and humans with treats and treats and treats! Here strays are more than welcome, and are respected by both pets and humans. It is unclaimable and a neutral area. Any animals that are seen LIVING here will be picked up by the animal control.

Gala Animal Control Office The GACO have a decent sized air conditioned building with many dog kennels for housing strays. Some dogs are coupled with others within this building, but it isn't all bad. The ACO trys each day to walk their captives, and will occasionally put them outside in an outdoors play yard.

UNCLAIMABLE
Motel For Dogs An abandoned Motel, untouched for years. All the windows have been broken and most of the doors stand wide open. There are beds and bathrooms, and you can even find left over food (if you look hard enough). This place is popular for all animals including canine, feline, and vermon.

Apollo's Beach Welcome to a deserted beach where the sand is a fine powder and the water is a rich blue. Dunes protect the beach from human eyes, and every spring and summer are dappled with beautiful yellow button flowers. Don't enjoy yourself to much.

Creek Falls This small creek runs at the northern part of the town. It twists and winds and meets at the buyou in the rural area, but about midway to the actual buyou, there is a waterfall. It opens out into a wide pool, but thins back out, and eventually empties into Flores. The creek is surrounded by woods and is a perfect place to fool off on a hot summers day.

Buzzard Tower A tall signal tower stands on the eastern edge of Gala. Each evening buzzards fly round and round the tower until their wings tire. In the dead of night, this very tower is sillouhetted against the moon, and faintly you can see black blobs of multiple vultures huddled close together.

Switchin Yards This desolate area is located in the north-west part of Gala, right on the outside. Six or seven tracks lay side by side and eventually flow into a single track that goes around the western side of town. This series of Switching Yards has been long since abandoned. Lonely and decaying train cars sit open on the tracks, or off to the sides in the tall grass and wild flowers.

URBAN
Joes Scrap Yard The local trash and junk yard is located to the north of the city only 2 miles from the rural areas. This yard is littered with trash of all sorts. Food trash, appliances, and cars.

Drainage District Nothing but a BIG DITCH that leads through laf of the city, all the way up to the buyou, to drain. It is plentiful with fish and crawdads, and is a great source of water. It usually dries up during the summer, though.

Residential Residential area, littered with homes. It is the perfect place for trash foods, and stealing cat food off of peoples porches. It is wise to stroll these parts at night.

The City of Gala Within the city, there are networks of ally ways, littered with open trash bins and cans. The only food source (aside from trash) comes from the rats and mice that litter throughout the dankest parts of the city. This is another area that should be traveled wisely.
